Held on April 30, this year’s Gather focused on creativity and playfulness, featuring not only Dr. Thomas’s keynote but also a dynamic panel discussion with Dr. Anita Bundy, head of the Occupational Therapy department, Dr. Blythe LaGasse, professor of Music Therapy, and moderated by third-year student, Andrea Donlucas.
Designed to spotlight the research and achievements of women across the CSU community, the event emphasized the vital role of play at every stage of life—and the science that supports its benefits. One guest summed it up perfectly: “The subject—play—is not one you usually hear discussed on campus or elsewhere. It was refreshing, and I loved the research examples presented!”
