Stewardship Strategist

In collaboration with a fellow Stewardship Strategist, this position will share key strategizing and leadership responsibilities, where success is achieved by working collaboratively with centralized and decentralized fundraising teams and using data, paired with creativity, to effectively make decisions. To do this, it will be important to establish meaningful, collegial working relationships with development colleagues and other University offices, share ideas for best practices in all areas of donor relations and stewardship, and be energized by a growing and evolving team.  The Stewardship Strategists will represent the University in interactions with donors of all levels and University leadership – including University Advancement leadership and the President’s Office and with our partners in the CSU Foundation. Effective communication skills, attention to detail, project management, and a zeal for gratitude is important.

Advancement Data Specialist

We are seeking a successful individual who has a proven track record of managing data in a highly automated and quality-driven environment. The ideal candidate will be a detail fanatic and thrive in a fast-paced and metrics/results-driven team. This person will have a strong work ethic and a passion to continue our division’s success as a premier fundraising team.

The Advancement Data Specialist manages data to support the fundraising and relationship-building mission of the University Advancement division. This position primarily utilizes the Ellucian Advance computer system, a complex relational database with over 800,000 constituent records and over 1,000,000 financial records, with each record containing over 1,000 potential data elements tracked in over 350 tables.

This position utilizes other systems/applications at their discretion to ensure the ongoing completeness, quality and relevance of the Advance system, with a focus on integration of constituent data to support the needs of fundraising/advancement staff. With limited supervision and periodic review of work product, this position uses discretion to complete assignments and projects which vary in content, complexity and deadline.

This position interacts directly with university faculty/staff to provide guidance and assistance to ensure quality of data. This position requires thorough understanding of division priorities & goals, university policies, industry standards, and software requirements – with ability to apply same to varying and unique requests/situations. Work product impacts colleges and divisions across the university; work product also impacts constituents of the university including donors, major gift prospects, parents, alumni, board members, etc. This individual will help support University Advancement’s commitment to excellence in diversity, equity, and inclusion by helping ensure that services and processes are inclusive.

Student Advancement Associate, College of Veterinary Medicine and Biomedical Sciences

The Office of Advancement in the College of Veterinary Medicine and Biomedical Sciences (CVMBS) is hiring a Student Advancement Associate! This position plays an important role in CVMBS fundraising efforts by providing administrative and project support to the CVMBS development team.

College of Liberal Arts Student Engagement and Events Coordinator

The College of Liberal Arts (CLA) Student Engagement and Events Coordinator shall support the CLA Development team primarily by producing and managing 4-6 small donor events annually. In addition to these primary responsibilities, the CLA Student Coordinator shall perform other development-related duties as assigned, including administrative support and donor stewardship.
