Major Gift Announcements

The Warner College of Natural Resources, Office of Alumni Relations, College of Business, and College of Natural Sciences received portions of a $13 million regular active pledge in support of the following initiatives:

  • $3.7 million to name the new building in the Warner College of Natural Resources
  • $3.5 million to name the new Alumni Center in the new CSU Stadium
  • $3 million to endow 13 Michael Smith Elite Business Scholarships in the College of Business
  • $2 million to create 37 four-year Michael Smith 50th Anniversary Scholarships in the College of Business
  • $400,000 to create 10, four-year Michael Smith Scholarships in the Department of Geosciences in the Warner College of Natural Resources
  • $400,000 to create 10, four-year Michael Smith Scholarships in the Department of Chemistry in the College of Natural Sciences

The College of Veterinary Medicine and Biomedical Sciences received $118,810 in endowment and expendable funds and collectively received a $1.5 million commitment in support of a memorial endowment.

The College of Agricultural Sciences received a $711,423.23 outright gift in kind in support of the CSURF Gifts of Land.

The Office of Alumni Relations received a $500,000 revocable commitment in support of the CSU Alumni Association Legacy Scholarship Endowment.

The College of Veterinary Medicine and Biomedical Sciences received a $350,000 regular active pledge in support of Petco Foundation and Blue Buffalo Foundation cancer treatment.

The Department of Athletics received three $105,266.59 regular active pledges in support of football premium seating.

The Center for the New Energy Economy received a $220,000 outright cash gift in support of the program.

The Department of Athletics received a $218,911.12 regular active pledge in support of football premium seating.

The Department of Athletics received a $165,819.76 regular active pledge in support of football premium seating.

The College of Veterinary Medicine and Biomedical Sciences received a $150,000 outright cash gift in support of One Cure.

The Department of Athletics received a $124,254.50 regular active pledge in support of football premium seating.

The College of Business received a $100,000 regular active pledge in support of the Dr. Ajay Menon Presidential Chair in Business Endowment.

The College of Business received a $75,441 outright gift – use of property – in support of the Institute for Entrepreneurship.

The Department of Athletics received a $55,471.82 regular active pledge in support of football premium seating.

The Department of Biochemistry and Molecular Biology in the College of Natural Sciences received a $52,500 outright cash gift in support of the Betsy Starr Bruning Scholarship Endowment ($50,000) and the Betsy Starr Bruning Scholarship expendable account ($2,500) to make the 2016-2017 award.

The College of Agricultural Sciences received a $50,000 active revocable commitment in support of the Scott D. and Janice M. Haley Graduate Fellowship in Wheat Breeding and Genetics Endowment.

The Department of Athletics received a $50,000 regular active pledge in support of the CSU Stadium.

The College of Engineering received a $50,000 outright cash gift in support of the Isaacson Family Scholarship in the College of Engineering Endowment.
