Stadium Reseating a Success!
On May 5, Colorado State University Athletics and the Ram Club completed the reseating process for all 2016 football season ticket holders as the transition to the new, on-campus stadium draws closer. During the six-week reseating process, more than 2,800 2016 football season ticket holders were given the opportunity to select their new seats, parking, and VIP area passes for the upcoming Rams football season. The reseating process was a great success, with overwhelmingly positive feedback from fans, more than 8,800 season tickets selected, and more than 80 percent of the capacity of priority season tickets – locations requiring a per-seat donation – sold.
There will be a stadium open house on Aug. 5, and the inaugural home game will be played vs. Oregon State University at 1 p.m. Aug. 26.

Donor Connect Update
A revamped and refreshed version of Donor Connect is slated to roll out July 1, and it will be an exciting way for donors to experience their individual giving footprint at CSU. Between now and then, the Donor Relations and Stewardship team will be showcasing the upgraded donor portal to a variety of audiences, including the division at the June meeting.
We would love recommendations for a few of donors who may be interested in providing feedback on Donor Connect. We’ll be offering two, 60-minute sessions in mid-June at the Lory Student Center. Donors can select the option that best fits their schedules, and refreshments and parking passes will be provided. The ideal donor for our sessions:
- Would live in/near Fort Collins or would be willing to travel here for a weekday meeting.
- Has utilized Donor Connect before or works in an industry that focuses on customer experiences.
- Is comfortable sharing ideas and feedback in a small-group setting.
We would greatly appreciate your sending Katie Brayden your proposed donor names. Feel free to send up to five names. They could be assigned major gift donors, but that’s not a requirement. Keep in mind that this could be a useful engagement opportunity for young alumni, volunteers, giving society members, or council members. In addition to names, please indicate 1) whether you’d like to extend the initial invite yourself (otherwise, Katie will be the one reaching out); and 2) if you’d like to attend the session, if your donor accepts the invitation. Katie will update you on the RSVP list as the date nears, in case you’d like to connect in other ways while your donor is here.

Principal Gifts Strategic Focus
The Principal Gifts team is honing in its strategic focus related to travel in FY18. Each regional director will prioritize four cities/states for the majority of his or her travel to better engage and cultivate prospects in the following alumni-abundant areas:
- Mike LaPlante – San Francisco/Bay Area, Seattle, Minneapolis, and Portland
- John Festervand – New York City, Washington, D.C., Chicago, and Ohio
- Amanda Giacalone – Dallas/Fort Worth, Houston, Austin, and Florida
- Shannon Mosness – Phoenix/Tucson, San Diego, Los Angeles, and Orange County, Calif.
