Department Updates – November 2016
A Special Thank-You to CSU Alumni Association Life Members
As a way to celebrate their commitment to CSU and the Alumni Association, on Nov. 9, the Alumni Association hosted 100 life members at the Bud Light Champions Room at Sports Authority Field at Mile High. It was a wonderful way to show appreciation to our life members, who are at the heart of everything the Alumni Association does. The short program featured tours of the stadium, mingling with Broncos cheerleaders, updates on the Iris & Michael Smith Alumni Center, and other CSU pride points. A great time was had by all!

University Advancement Development
If you have planned gifts that need to be processed by the end of the year for tax purposes, please submit them as soon as possible to ensure a timely booking of the gift. Also, consider gifts of appreciated securities and encourage your donors to make their plans to initiate these transactions by mid-December to ensure timely receipt by year-end.
As a reminder, individual colleges and units are responsible for completing the revocable commitment summary form. You can find this form template in Advance under Reference > CGI > Gift Transmittals > Revocable Commitment Summary Form.
Along with our continued commitment to Denver and its surrounding areas, the regional development directors are also planning trips to California, Oregon, New York, Arizona, and Texas before the end of the calendar year. Tis the season for securing year-end gifts!
