Message from the VP – September 2016
The past few weeks have been filled with a rush of activity – four major construction projects hit their halfway marks, students returned to campus, the President’s Fall Address and University Picnic is in the books, fall sporting events are underway, and we cut the ribbon on the Gregory Allicar Museum of Art. It’s already mid-September, and we’re starting to get hints of what the fall will bring! In the midst of it all, we said goodbye to a dear friend and colleague. We will always remember Auli fondly.
When you get a moment to pause in the flurry, I hope you are reminded, like I am, that we are very fortunate to work with such a tremendous team. Time and again, we pull together to accomplish great things, and in the toughest of times we stand together to provide support for one another. For all of that, thank you.
Next week, CSU hosts the 2016 Diversity Symposium offering sessions focused on critical topics impacting our community. And, in just a few short weeks, it’ll be Homecoming & Family Weekend. We’ll have multiple opportunities to celebrate donors, alumni, and friends by hosting them on campus, reintroducing them to the changing face of this great University, and sharing in Ram pride. I hope you will get involved in the many wonderful activities throughout the weekend (Oct. 6-8). You’ll find a full schedule online at homecoming.colostate.edu.
Though I feel like our team is always moving at a fast pace, the rush of fall is quickly approaching. Thanks to your efforts, we continue to find success. At the time of this writing, we’ve raised $659.7 million toward our billion-dollar goal. Impressive!
THANK YOU for all you do for Colorado State University.
